DESTINATIONS

OSLOB WHALE SHARKS

In Oslob, Cebu, visitors can have the unique experience of swimming with whale sharks, the world’s largest fish. Also known as gentle giants, encountering these massive creatures up close in the water is a truly memorable wildlife adventure. Oslob offers the opportunity to interact with and observe these endangered whale sharks in their natural habitat. 

SUMILON ISLAND

Sumilon Island is famous for snorkeling, diving and enjoying its sand bar. It was the second marine sanctuary established in the Philippines, helping to preserve vibrant coral reefs and marine life. Featuring a single resort, the Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is nestled on the southern tip.

KAWASAN FALLS

Island. It is part of the Kawasan River that flows through Badian town. The source of the water is the Kabukalan Spring, which then courses through the Kawasan gorge and into the Matutinao River out to the Tanon Strait. Towering an impressive 40 meters high, the largest cascade is followed by smaller cascades and gorgeous turquoise pools ideal for swimming. A popular ecotourism spot, Kawasan Falls is renowned for its peaceful and serene rainforest setting. Adventurous visitors can opt to raft down the river or leap off the surrounding cliffs into the pools below. It offers tranquility as well as thrill-seeking activities amidst lush natural beauty.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Your booking confirmation will be sent immediately via email. Please let us know if you were unable to receive the notification.
  • Once we have confirmed your booking, the booking may only be moved to another date through the cancellation of the original booking.
  • Tour Staff has the right to remove any group member from a tour without a refund ifthey are unfit to participate due to illness, intoxication, and the likes once the tour has begun.
  • An additional charge will apply for pick-up or drop-off locations outside of Cebu City or Mactan Island. Please note in advance any changes in pick-up/drop-off locations so that we may be able to confirm the surcharge amount in advance.
  • There is a possibility that no whale sharks will be present during the tour due to unpredictable and unfavorable weather or any other environmental factors that are beyond our control. Please note that if this does happen, refunds will not be issued. (General Terms & Conditions applies - No Sightseeing Policy)
  • Note: Sumilon Clean up drive in every 3rd week of the month (Wednesday)

Child Rate Policy:

  • Children under the age of 4 and below are not charged by Cebu Pro.
  • This group of people is not accounted for in the computation of the "number of guests."
  • Children aged under 5–12 years old are counted as child rates.
  • Children aged thirteen (13) and above must pay the same amount as adults, as stated by Cebu Pro.

Additional Information & Tour Tips:

  • Bring enough cash; although some restaurants accept credit cards, souvenir shops and other stores only accept cash.
  • Bring your personal medicine with a doctor’s prescription in case of an emergency.
  • Spitting, urinating, defecating, and vomiting in public areas are strictly prohibited.
  • Smoking is allowed, but only in particular places.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made at least 72 hours before the selected activity date

No Show Policy:

  • Failure to arrive 30 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time at the designated hotel lobby will merit automatic cancellation.

Covid-19 precautions

  • Special health and safety measures are in place.

Age Requirement:

  • Children aged 0 to 5 are not allowed to snorkel during the Whale Shark Encounter Activity, although they are authorized to observe from the boat.
  • The minimum age to join the canyoning activity is 7 years old. If there are children 1-6 years old who want to join the activity, they must be accompanied by a private and personal guide. Children will be carried by the local guide throughout the experience and will not be allowed to dive or jump.
  • Prohibitions & Limitations: For Whale Watching
  • All whale shark watchers must undergo orientation at the Briefing Center on the rules for interaction with whale sharks.
  • No feeding of whale sharks by unauthorized personnel
  • Do not touch, ride, or chase a whale shark.
  • Do not restrict the normal movement or behavior of the shark.
  • Do not use flash photography.
  • Do not create splashes when entering the water.
  • Do not wear sunscreen if you are going to enter the water.
  • Motorboats are prohibited in the area. Only paddle boats are allowed.
  • Viewing is limited to 30 minutes.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 5m from the head, and 6m from the tail (this differs from the 2m from the head, and 5m from the tail stated in the ordinance).
