Crispy Cebu Delight: Chicharon sa Carcar

How to get there?

Taking a bus from the Cebu South Bus Terminal is the easiest way to get there. Take the Carcar route since it will pass just in front of the aisle with the sellers. Your fare for non-air-conditioned minibuses will be approximately 70 pesos, and for air-conditioned Ceres Liners, it will be about 90 pesos.

Jeepneys could be a little less expensive, but more rides are required. You must first take a jeepney to Tabunok or Minglanilla before searching for a jeepney headed toward Carcar. It will cost between 60 pesos and 70 pesos in total.

La Torta de Argao

In 2011, the pitlagong was replaced with the La Torta de Argao Festival. Every September 28 and 29, there is a festival called La Torta. The festival’s name refers to a well-known dish from Argao. A “torta” is a cheese- and flour-based treat similar to a cupcake. Do you know what makes the torta in Argao special? because its constituents include tuba and pig grease.

Due to the mouthwatering Torta, the locals of Argao enjoy traveling back and forth frequently.

How to get there?

Simply take a bus onto the Argao route from the South Bus Terminal; the trip takes around two hours.  The national highway is approximately two blocks away. You’ll start to see the business signs and the signs for Chitang’s as soon as you get to Argao. Take a tricycle to Chitang’s shop after arriving at Argao’s terminal.

Take a bus to Argao from the South Bus Terminal; after you get to Argao, look for signs indicating the location of the store. Take a tricycle to Oj’s Torta Store after arriving at the Argao bus terminal.
